Billy Napier has hired Rob Sale as the Gators' offensive coordinator/offensive line coach, UF announced on Tuesday. Sale coached for the New York Giants in 2021.

The Florida at Ole Miss men's basketball game that was originally scheduled for Dec. 29 has been rescheduled for Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. 

Billy Napier has hired Kareem Reid as a quality control coach. Reid will work with the defensive line. He spent the 2021 season as UCF's director of player development.

Gators junior cornerback Kaiir Elam declared for the 2022 NFL Draft on Monday morning. 

Paul Silvestri has been promoted to director of sports health for football. He has been on the UF staff since 2013 and will oversee the training room alongside associate director Tony Hill.

Colin Castleton exploded for 17 points and nine rebounds in the second half, but it wasn't enough, as No. 9 Auburn defeated the Gators 85-73 on Saturday night. UF is now 0-2 in SEC play for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

Tiger Jones has been hired as the director of speed improvement and skill development. 

Alex Watkins joined the Gators' staff as an assistant strength and conditioning coach on Friday.

In the aftermath of their loss to Alabama on Wednesday, playing with a consistently high energy level was the biggest point of emphasis in practice for the Gators over the next two days. They'll get another chance to put together a complete 40 minutes when they take on No. 9 Auburn on the road on Saturday night.

When David Conner was 7 or 8 years old, one of the other parents told his mom that he was going to be a Division 1 football player. That prediction has come true, as Conner is set to join the Gators in May as an offensive lineman.
