The Gators have been ranked seventh in the NCBWA preseason poll and 10th in the coaches poll.

The NCBWA has tabbed two Gators as preseason All-Americans. Hunter Barco was voted to the first team and Jud Fabian to the second team.

Austin Langworthy has returned to UF as a student assistant coach, the school announced on Tuesday. Langworthy played in 198 games and started in 195 of them from 2017-20, primarily in left field.

Rachel Adamkowski has joined the Gators' staff as a football performance dietitian. She worked for the Cleveland Browns' performance nutrition department in 2021.

The 2022 Florida-Florida State game in Tallahassee has been moved up a day and will now be played on Friday, Nov. 25, the ACC and Florida State announced on Monday. The game is expected to air in primetime on either ESPN or ABC. 

UF starting pitcher Hunter Barco has been named a preseason Second Team All-American by D1Baseball. 

Gators pitcher Hunter Barco was named a preseason First Team All-American by Baseball America, while outfielders Jud Fabian and Sterlin Thompson made the publication's third team.
