On Wednesday, the Florida softball welcomed in three new players as they all sent in their National Letter of Intent making them officially apart of the Gators team.
Here are the three signees:
Lake Side (Cal.) El Capitan pitcher Delanie Gourley
Carrollton (Tx.) Hebron High utility player Chelsea Herndon
Rancho Cucamonga (Cal.) outfielder Justine McLean
Head coach Tim Walton has had tremendous success recruiting players from the West Coast and that trend continued as two of the three prospects came from California.
Gourley comes to Florida after striking out 1,003 batters in high school and being named her team MVP last year.
Herndon was a first-team All-Texas selection last year and was named the 2012 Vype Magazine Muscle Milk Player of the Week last year for Denton County.
McLean was Rancho Cucamonga’s player of the year last season and had a batting average of .523 during her junior campaign.
