Social media reacts to Jim McElwain’s departure

The University of Florida announced the mutual parting of
head football coach Jim McElwain on Sunday following an odd week that was capped off with a 42-7 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
McElwain held a 22-12 overall record in his two and a half seasons over the program, but a 3-4 start to the 2017 season, inability to make changes on offense and internal issues that escalated over the last week led to his demise.
Current players reacted on Twitter before and after the announcement. Reports of the firing hit social media before an official announcement was made, and before players were informed, which led some of them to post their thoughts on how the situation was handled.
Some former Florida players, as well as former players under McElwain, also gave their thoughts on it.
