SEC Championship Hotel Deadline Extended

The Florida Gators are going to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, December 2 and Gator Country is going to be there all weekend! Join us for a real Gator Country blast. We’ve got at least 25 rooms reserved at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at a rate you just can’t beat and we’re planning the ultimate Gator Country party for Friday night.

UPDATE: The response has been so great — 65 rooms and still counting — that the Crowne Plaza Hotel has extended our deadline until 5 p.m. November 19 for our $69 a night special for the SEC Championship Game.

We hope to have details in the morning for a GatorCountry.com bus to take everybody from the hotel to the Georgia Dome and back on game day! The Crowne Plaza has been so overwhelmed with our response that they’re helping us get a rate to and from the game that can’t be beat!

We’ll also be unveiling our Friday night Gator Country SEC blastoff plans in the next couple of days.

If you haven’t already made your reservations, do it now!

The ultimate Gator weekend for the SEC Championship Game means a two-night stay at the Crowne Plaze Hotel, Atlanta Perimeter NW (6435 Powers Ferry Road). Our Gator Country Special Package requires a two-night stay at $69 a night (regular rack rate is $110).

Reservations can be made starting at noon Tuesday with the Hotel Reservations Department at 770-955-1700. Please identify yourself as Gator Country Fans to get the special rate. Our cutoff date for reservations is Friday, November 17 at 5 p.m. When you do, please make sure that you let us know on our message board so we can keep track of who’s going: Thread on premium forum and thread on our free forums for non subscribers.

Gator Country fans can also confirm at check-in the Crowne Plaza’s full American breakfast at $9 per person.

In addition to the great rooms at a great hotel, we’re planning a Friday night blast to end all blasts. We’ll have details for that in the next few days, but this is going to be the ultimate Gator Country gathering and your chance to find out that there is a real person behind the moniker you see on the message boards.

You might be shocked to find out that BornAGator is a scratch golfer that gave up the PGA Tour to teach English in Bora Bora for the Peace Corps back in the 1970s and that Big Money, who is the top pocket protector salesman in America for his firm, attended a prep school for computer nerds in Billings, Montana.

So join Gator Country in Atlanta for the ultimate SEC Championship Game weekend in Atlanta. It’s going to be a weekend to remember. We’ll be there! Will you?
