Gators in the NFL Week 7

As the NFL approaches the midseason mark, several former Gators were in action after not playing very much this season. The Rams beat down of the Cowboys was the surprise of the weekend, while the Bears 48-41 win over the Vikings was the most exciting game. The Jags had a bye which means almost 1/6 of the Gator alumni were not in action.

There was a serious injury in Tampa, and a mild one in Cincinnati.  One Gator had his season end, and we had the reappearance of one player just as another gets cut.  On to the Stats!

Big Weeks

These former Gators had strong weeks

  • Earnest Graham RB Tampa Bay: EG didn’t have the greatest day statistically, but he did score and as usual that’s enough to get you into the big week section.  Graham finished with 23 carries for 52 yards and a TD, and 2 receptions for 13 yards 20-10 win over Seattle.
  • Channing Crowder MLB Miami: was all over the field and finished with 10 tackles in 27-13 loss to the Ravens.

Did their job

Gators that may not have starred but got their minutes.

  • Alex Brown DE Chicago: 3 tackles in a shootout win over Minnesota 48-41
  • Andre Caldwell WR/KR Cincinnati: 3 kickoff returns for 88 yards, suffered a stress fracture in left foot in the second half and will be out 2-3 weeks during the Bengals 38-10 loss the Steelers.
