Florida OL Dunker charged with auto theft

Florida Gators true freshman offensive lineman Jessamen Dunker is in jail on charges that he stole a car.

Jessamen Tory Dunker was booked into the Alachua County Jail at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday and is charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, a third degree felony, according to Alachua County arrest records. The incident allegedly occurred on UF’s campus and he was arrested by the University Police Department.

Dunker, who also was charged with a second-degree misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license, remains in jail and a bond has not been assigned, according to court records.

Dunker redshirted this season but was expected to battle for a starting job on the offensive line this spring, according to coaches.

In November, Dunker had another run-in with law enforcement when he reportedly said an expletive to an officer for writing him a citation for failure to wear a seat belt.

GatorCountry.com will continue to follow this developing story and will provide updates as details become available.
