Florida drops in one poll but rises in another

With this being a holiday weekend, the new college football polls weren’t released until Tuesday afternoon.

The polls created a little stir among Florida fans as the Gators dropped from number 10 to number 12 in the AP Poll, as both LSU and Florida State jumped the undefeated Gators.

In the USA Today coaches poll, the Gators moved up one spot to number 9 as Georgia dropped out of the top 10 following their season opening loss to Clemson.

The AP poll kept Georgia ahead of Florida at number 11 despite a season opening loss to Clemson on Saturday night.

Florida’s opponent on Saturday, the Miami Hurricanes, failed to enter the top 25 in the AP poll but did move to number 24 in the Coaches poll in a tie with TCU, who lost to LSU on Saturday night.
