Williamson commits to the Florida Gators

#Chompx3 that’s the sign that Florida Gators head coach Jim McElwain should be tweeting at any moment because the Gators have picked up their third commitment of the day.

Earlier on Monday running back Jordan Scarlett committed to Florida and safety Kylan Johnson flipped to Florida from Kansas and now athlete Chris Williamson (6-0, 190, Gainesville, GA High) has committed to Florida over Georgia and Michigan.

Williamson who just busted onto the scene of many colleges after he had a big senior year visited Florida this past weekend and had a great trip from all reports that Gator Country has heard.

“I’ll headed to the University of Florida,” Williamson said on Fox Sports. “Go Gators.”

The speedy athlete has played both offense and defense in high school and according to his coach is capable of playing either in college but the Gators are likely to start Williamson off at cornerback.

Williamson, who is a quick athlete with nice moves as a return man, could also see action on special teams as a freshman at Florida.

During his senior year Williamson filled the state sheet up with 52 catches for 1,061 yards and 14 touchdowns on offense, on defense he had 46 tackles, one interception and had nine pass breakups.

With Williamson now a Gator commit he will sign his Letter of Intent on Wednesday and he’s the 16th commit for Florida this year and is the first defensive back to commit in the class of 2015.
