Vernon Hargreaves commits to Florida

The Florida football team picked up its 18th verbal commitment on Thursday when Tampa (Fla.) Wharton cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III pledged to the Gators. He announced it on his Twitter account.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Hargreaves picked Florida over USC, South Florida and Michigan, among others. He made an unofficial visit to the Univeristy of Florida campus on Thursday.

“I can officially say I am committed to THE UNVIERSITY OF FLORIDA,” Hargreaves tweeted. “#GO GATORS CHOMP CHOMP.”

Hargreaves joins Tre Bell as the other cornerback in this class.
