With the new breaking of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn leaving Florida for the Seattle Seahawks, the Gators’ commitments and prospects were obviously shocked to hear it.

GatorCountry.com will continue to update this story as we get more reactions from prospects around the country.

Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer defensive lineman Antonio Riles — “Very stunned.. surprised I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t think it will affect my commitment but idk that’s surprising for me as of now.”

Somerville (N.J.)Immaculata defensive end Tashawn Bower — “It definitely will give me a lot more thinking to do its pretty late in recruiting so it does impact my decision. I leave tomorrow for my visit.”

Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough defensive end Jordan Sherit wrote on Twitter — “It’s still Muschamp’s defense. I wish Coach Quinn nothing but the best, one of the realest coaches I’ve ever met. God Bless and Go Gators !!”

Bushnell (Fla.) South Sumter safety Keanu Neal on Twitter — “I wish Coach Quinn the best. A pretty big loss, but life goes on. We’ll be fine.”

2014 Cross City (Fla.) Dixie County defensive back Duke Dawson — “It doesn’t affect me at all.”
