Recruits react to Summers hiring

News broke on Monday evening that Florida had hired former USC offensive line coach Mike Summers to the same position at Florida.

Anytime a new coach is hired recruits and fans have reactions to the hiring of the coach and Gator Country caught up with several offensive linemen commitments and targets for Florida.

The overwhelming feeling among the recruits is that they don’t know much about Summers but believe he’s a good hire for the Gators.

Offensive lineman Travaris Dorsey (6-3, 314, Jacksonville, FL Raines)

“ I don’t know much about him and I haven’t met him yet but I’m eager to meet him and work with him in the future.”

Offensive lineman Damian Prince (6-5, 292, Forestville, MD Bishop McNamara)

“UF got Mike Summers,” Prince tweeted.”

2015 offensive lineman Jake Fruhmorgen (6-5, 256, Tampa, FL Plant)

“I think it’s a good hire for Florida. I’m going to visit soon and see from there. I’m not sure when I’ll visit but soon.”

2015 offensive lineman Drew Richmond (6-6, 313, Memphis, TN)

“ I haven’t had the chance to meet or talk to him yet.”

GC will add more reactions as we get them.
