Recruits react to Florida’s win over Tennessee

Florida won their first SEC game of the 2013 season and the Gators defeated Tennessee 31-17 in front of a full house.

With all of the fans out in attendance the Gators coaching staff hosted a ton of visitors and hundreds of others watched from home.

Gator Country.com talked to several prospect to get their quick thoughts and reaction on the Florida win on Saturday.

2014 Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen receiver Javon Harrison – “Good game and win.”

2014 Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School cornerback Quincy Wilson – “That Gator defense is the real deal.”

2014 Gardena (Ca.) Junipero Serra linebacker Dwight Williams – “Great game! Great win! Chomp Chomp!”

2016 Naples (Fla.) High receiver commit Tyler Byrd – “Great win, really impressive by the second string quarterback who had to step in the spot light and show the maturity and integrity to get the job done.”

2014 Henderson (NV.) Green Valley offensive lineman Tyrell Crosby – “I thought it was a good win. It was nice to see their second string quarterback step up after the injury and lead them to victory.”

2015 Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian linebacker Jeffrey Holland – “It was a great win by Florida.”

2015 Chesterfield (Va.) Matoaca receiver Trevion Armstrong – “Good team win.”

2015 Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson defensive end/tight end Chauncey Rivers – “I thought it was a great win for Florida.”

2015 Tampa (Fla.) Tech athlete Deon Cain – “It was a great win and Murphy showed leadership!”

2015 Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln receiver John Burt – “I think they still have some things to work on but it’s a step in the right direction.”

2015 Lake Wales (Fla.) High offensive lineman Luke Hiers – “I thought they looked good but the offense needs a lot of work.”

2015 Reistertown (Md.) Franklin offensive lineman Pat Allen – “I only saw a little bit of the game but I thought the intensity was really there and was a great way to step up and say this is our house and you’re not invited.”

2015 Orangeburg (S.C.) Orangeburg Wilkinson defensive end Albert Huggins– “It was a very good game for the Gators and they forced a lot of turnovers.”

2015 Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney offensive lineman Wyatt Knopfke– “I thought it was great, especially with Driskel out so early.”
