Opening Preview: Team Vapor Carbon

Nike has been rolling its camps around the country since early March and it will all come to end in Beaverton, Oregon on July 7th at Nike Headquarters.

The elite-of the-elite prospects from the Class of 2015 and a handful of 2016 prospects will participate in the Sparq Challenge as well as be divided into teams to participate in the 7-on-7 challenge as well as the linemen challenge.

Among the prospects attending the events are a number of Florida targets as well as three Gator commits.

In the days leading forward Gator Country will break down each team and give you a preview of who to watch on that team as we prepare for the Opening.

Each team will draft three quarterbacks once they are in Oregon to go along with the players already designated to their team.

We’ve taken a look at five of the six teams in attendance and Sunday’s preview will be for Team Vapor Carbon:

Vapor Carbon doesn’t have a Florida commits on its team and really doesn’t have a lot of Florida targets on its team either.

Out of all of the teams, Vapor Carbon might have the least amount of talent on the offensive side of the ball but at receiver Clemson commit Deon Cain, who’s is still being recruited by Florida, will team up with another talented receiver Christian Kirk.

Linebacker John Houston from Serra High School in California continues to mention Florida but has never visited and he doesn’t have any set plans to do so.

The only other big Florida target on this team is offensive lineman Martez Ivey. Ivey is  the Gators top target on the offensive line and plans to be at Friday Night Lights on July 25th.

One 2016 prospect to watch on Vapor Carbon is defensive lineman Rashan Gary from New Jersey who has tentative plans to visit Florida for Friday Night Lights. Gary is likely to be a five star prospect for 2016.
