Opening Preview: Team Superbad

The Nike Opening is an event that features the nation’s top 162 elite prospects participating in linemen, 7-on-7 and SPARQ testing competitions.

This year the event will start on Monday, July 1st and run through Wednesday, July 3rd in Beaverton, Ore. – home to Nike’s headquarters.

The 162 players are divided into six teams that will participate in the 7 on 7 tournament as well as the lineman challenges.

Over the next two days will continue to preview each one of the teams and talk about Florida’s targets and commitments on each roster.

With two days left, the next team that is going to take a look at is team #SuperBad, a team with several Gator targets on their team.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit.
