Opening Preview: Team AlphaPro

The Nike Opening is an event that features the nation’s top 162 prospects participating in linemen, 7-on-7 and SPARQ testing competitions…

This year the event will start on Monday, July 1st and run through Wednesday, July 3rd in Beaverton, OR., home to Nike’s headquarters.

The 162 players are divided into six teams that will participate in the 7 on 7 tournament as well as the lineman challenges.

Over the next six days, GatorCountry.com will preview each one of the teams and talk about Florida’s targets and commitments.

The first team that GatorCountry.com is going to take a look at is team #AlphaPro,  home to several Gators,  including one commitment.

Here are the targets:

Homestead (Fla.) High receiver Ermon Lane

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas receiver Corey Holmes

St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn

Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith defensive tackle Andrew Brown

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School linebacker Richard Yeargin

Those five targets will surely get the Gator recruiting pitch from Florida cornerback commitment Duke Dawson, another member of team #AlphaPro next week in Oregon.
