Moten commits to Florida

Tuesday night was a good night for the Gators as they received some late recruiting news.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas defensive tackle Anthony Moten tweeted he had committed to Florida.

“JUST COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA…. #GO GATORS,” Moten said via Twitter.

Moten has connections to Florida as his cousin Mike Moten played for Florida on their championship team in 1996.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Moten choose Florida over Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame and South Carolina among others.

Moten is the 8th commitment of the Class of 2014 and the first defensive line prospect to commit.
