Jason Pughe brings ‘Video Vault’ to GC

The newest addition to the Gator Country family is Jason Pughe, who has accepted the position of Video Coordinator. He will immediately begin to saturate GatorCountry.com with highlight videos of high school recruits.

Pughe comes to Gator Country with an impressive resume in assisting high school athletes, their families, and coaches with quality video.

He has owned and operated a free website called AthleteVault.com since November of 2007.  In that span, he has created over 800 highlight videos, including over 450 quality videos for the classes of 2009, 2010, and 2011.  Many of his videos feature the top players in the southeast.  In addition to operating his website, he has developed relationships with a number of college and high school coaches across the nation.

“We are very lucky to have a skilled professional like Jason, “ said Executive Editor Buddy Martin. “He comes to us highly recommended from college and high school coaches.”

Managing Editor Franz Beard said Pughe will feature his “Jason’s Pughe’s Video Vault” on a weekly basis. “His first one will start this weekend with a countdown of his Top Ten To Watch.”

“Jason began this as a labor of love and his attention to detail and strong work ethic have turned this into a career,” Gator Country Recruiting Coordinator/Manager Mark McLeod said. “Jason has taken giant steps toward establishing himself as a leader in this field and we couldn’t be happier to have him join us in our efforts to provide the best value for GatorCountry.com subscribers.”

The videos on AthleteVault.com have helped create scholarship opportunities for hundreds of young people around the country.

Longtime Gator Country subscribers are already familiar with Pughe for his video efforts, appearances on “The Gator Country Radio Show,” and as a recruiting writer for GatorCountry.com.  His video skills and numerous relationships with prospects, families, and coaches throughout the nation make him a perfect addition to the Gator Country staff.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with Gator Country,” Pughe said.  “I feel that Gator Country has always been the No. 1 site for Gator sports, and I will work as hard as I can to make sure that Gator Country continues to be the premier destination when it comes to Gator recruiting.”

Pughe will continue to run his site in addition to becoming the video coordinator for Gator Country.  His goal is to provide a boost to the video library of Gator Country, as well as provide highlights on every Gator Football prospect.  In addition to providing video for the site, he will make regular radio appearances, as well as weekly recruiting tidbits.
