Inside Gators Recruiting 5/2/12

After spending the first two weeks of the evaluation period out of state, Florida Gators football coaches have began recruiting evaluations in the state of Florida.

Today marked the opening day for spring practice but the prospects were only allowed in helmets.

Over the next few weeks you will see the coaching staff visit prospects for practice and then make a return trip to watch most spring games.

Before we get to Tuesday’s visitors I need to touch on a prospect that was visited on Monday.

On Monday running backs coach Brian White visited 2014 Blackshear (Ga.), Pierce County quarterback Tyler Harris. Harris and Co. started spring practice yesterday so White was able to watch the 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback throw.

Now on to Tuesday.

Defensive line coach Bryant Young and offensive line coach Tim Davis visited Madison High school to check in with defensive back Shedrick Williams and offensive lineman Ira Denson. Denson was told by his high school that Will Muschamp wants to see him in person before moving forward with his recruitment.

Bryant Young also visited Lake City (Fla.)/Columbia offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil on Tuesday.
