Gators Recruiting: Coaches visits 1.22

Florida’s coaches hit the road again Monday and Tuesday for recruiting visits in Mississippi, Florida and Georgia.

On Monday, the coaches visited:

Will Muschamp and Bryant Young visited Scooba (Miss.) East Mississippi defensive lineman Jarran Reed.

On Tuesday, the coaches visited.

Muschamp visited 2014 Norcross (Ga.) High defensive end Lorenzo Carter at his school.

Muschamp also visited 2014 Norcross (Ga.) High running back Myles Autry at his school.

Muschamp and tight ends Derek Lewis went in-home with Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer defensive end Antonio Riles.

Receivers coach Joker Phillips visited 2014 Cedartown (Ga.) High running back Nick Chubb and offered him.

Defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin visited Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln linebacker James Hearns at his school.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
