Friday Night Frenzy recap week 11: Florida Gators recruiting

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are trying to shine on the field to impress college coaches and win a state championship ring before heading to college.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators recruiting commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.

This year we are going to also to name a player of the week from the commits games.

High School Recap

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Fred Hansard- Hansard had a receiving touchdown, plus a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

Quarterback Jake Allen (6-3, 200, Fort Lauderdale, FL. St. Thomas Aquinas)

Result: St. Thomas Aquinas defeated Blanche Ely 49-0 on Friday night.

Game Stats: Allen was 9-13 passing for 97 yards with a touchdown in the win.

Result: Muir defeated Burroughs 30-20 on Friday night.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit.
