Friday Night Frenzy: Week 1 Preview

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are starting their high school football season either this week or next weekend.

Like the past years, Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games that we are going to call Friday Night Frenzy or FNF.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits, but rather targets or just big names in the game.

Also, we will give you a few games that involve Florida Gators targets from the Class of 2015 and 2016 to watch as well.

Armwood vs. Tampa Plant- Florida fans can watch Byron Cowart go up against Clemson OL commit Jake Fruhmorgen on Friday night. The game will also be televised on Brighthouse.

Niceville vs. Clay-Chalkville (Al.) (Saturday on ESPNU at 4)- Two of Florida’s top 2016 targets play for Niceville in WR Elijah Stove and DB Romeo Finley.

Booker T. Washington vs. Oscar Smith (VA.) (Saturday on ESPNU at 9) Florida targets WR Antonio Callaway and DB DaVante Davis.

Trinity Christian vs. Buford (GA.) (Saturday on ESPN@ at 9)- Florida fans can watch targets LB Jeffrey Holland and DT Kendrick Norton play against Tennessee LB commit Austin Smith.
