Florida Gators visitor list for South Carolina

The Florida Gators football team will play its first home game in three weeks against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday at 12:01 in the Swamp.

This weekend is also the last SEC game for Florida so this is the coaching staff’s last chance to bring a number of top prospects in to see the Florida Gators game day atmosphere.

Will Muschamp and company are doing just that as the Gators will host three official visitors and quite a few unofficial visitors and we will get you caught up on everything in this visitors list.

Official visitors

With a noon kickoff the Gators will have a lot of time to spend with the official visitors this weekend and that’s a good thing as three key prospects will all be in town on the Florida Gators dime.

The first official visitor is safety Tim Irvin who returned from his official visit to Texas this weekend and he raved about that visit. Irvin and cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson have a great relationship and that’s something that is keeping Florida in the mix here. Irvin is set to announce at the Army All-American game so this could be the Gators last chance to host Irvin before a decision is made.

The next official visitor is cornerback Mike Hughes who visited Florida for the Missouri game and had a great visit. Florida is battling South Carolina and NC State for Hughes. The Gators need a good visit with Hughes to take the lead here.

Receiver Antonio Callaway will take his first visit to Florida since last summer and Callaway has been very high on Treon Harris as of late. Callaway is one of the op guys on the board at the receiver position and this weekend is a big step in the right direction with him.

Commits coming to town

Offensive line commit George Brown will make his first visit to Florida since he committed to Florida in July. Brown is one of the Gators top recruiters in the class and he will definitely be doing some recruiting this weekend.

Offensive linemen Brandon Sandifer and Tyler Jordan will join fellow offensive linemen Brown in Gainesville this weekend. Jordan and Sandifer have both been at several home games this year.

Tight end commits Kalif Jackson and Camrin Knight are also scheduled to be in Gainesville on Saturday. Both of these guys have been at most of the Florida Gators home games this year.

Two top targets visiting

Receiver Ryan Davis is scheduled to visit Florida for his fourth home game this year. Davis has been impressed by quarterback Treon Harris the last few games. Davis still plans to take an official visit to Florida later in the process.

Linebacker Jeffrey Holland is also scheduled to be in Gainesville this weekend as Holland has become a frequent visitor to Florida this season. Auburn and Florida are battling for the star linebacker.

Clemson commits visiting?

Clemson commits receiver Deon Cain and running back Ray-Ray McCloud have been rumored to be in town this weekend. The Gators are trying to flip both prospects and getting them back on campus this weekend is huge as neither have been on campus in a while.
