Florida football visitors list: 2.22

Gainesville was loaded with prospects last week visiting Florida for Junior Day as over a dozen targets checked in.

This weekend is setting up to be a little slower as only three visitors have confirmed they will be in attendance this weekend.

The Gators need a tight end for the Class of 2014 and they will host one in Carrollton (Ga.) High tight end Cole Cook.

Cook hasn’t received an offer from Florida yet, but the 6-foot-6, 230-pound prospect has been on the Gators’ radar for some time now.

Carrollton (Ga.) High defensive tackle Dontavius Russell will join his teammate in Gainesville this weekend.

However, Russell has a Florida offer and is one of the top defensive tackles on the Gators’ board for the Class of 2014.

The need for cornerbacks this year is huge, and Florida is looking to add two more to the Class of 2014 to join already committed Duke Dawson.

Mansfield (Texas) Timberview cornerback Edward Paris is one of the targets at that cornerback position, and he is expected to visit Florida this weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Paris will be in Florida for a 7-on-7 tournament and will stop by Gainesville either on Saturday or Sunday for a visit and tour of the campus.
