While the Gators didn’t get everyone they wanted, the class remains top notch in terms of star quality and talent. ESPN’s Scouting division, which is the only scouting service staffed by former football coaches and players who really know what they’re doing rather than some geeks with keyboards, has pegged the class at #5 in their final school rankings for 2009. For those keeping track, LSU was #1, Alabama #2, Miami #7 (I guess that extra field goal we kicked helped them more than we would ever know!), and Florida State ended up at #8 (amazingly enough).
