Kelleher becomes number 12

Florida picked up a huge out of state commitment Saturday afternoon when Mount Pleasant (S.C.) Wando offensive lineman Nolan Kelleher gave the Gator coaching staff his pledge.

According to his mom , the Kelleher family had a terrific visit to Florida in late July.

“We loved our visit to Florida,” Mrs. Kelleher said. “Nolan was very impressed with the academics and the coaching staff at Florida. He really liked sitting down with their offensive line coach and talking about plays with him.”

The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Kelleher is the 12th commitment and fourth offensive linemen in the Class of 2014 for Florida.

Kelleher joins Dontae Angus, Travaris Dorsey and Benjamin Knox as offensive linemen committed to the Gators so far.

Kelleher has been said to have a similar playing style to Florida Gator Tyler Moore in that, he is capable of playing guard or tackle in the SEC.

Now that Kelleher has joined the class, the Gators now focus their attention on signing two more offensive linemen.

David Sharpe, Jordan Sims, Damien Prince and Damien Mama are all prospects that are still high on Florida’s offensive line recruiting board.

  1. AS, let’s assume a few things, som obvious some not. Let’s assume Paul & Knox officially decommit (some no longer count Paul as a UF commit already), and let’s assume we land David Sharpe…if you could have only one, who would you want: Sims, Prince, Mama or recently-committed elsewhere Isiah Wynn?

    #GoBraves!

    • One minute into this tape, and while I’m impressed with Kelleher’s size, pancakes, and quickness to the second level blocking, his RBs do a piss poor job of following his lead!

    • I personally like Prince and Sims more than Mama but you can’t go wrong with either of them. But I think it’s going to be VERY tough to land any of those three. Mama most likely stays out west, Prince stays at Maryland and Sims goes to Auburn if Alabama doesn’t take him.
