Clark ready to make his decision

The Florida coaching staff has been looking for a sixth receiver for the Class of 2013 for a few months now.

One of the top prospects the Gators have been courting is New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) High receiver James Clark.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Clark was on campus at Florida this weekend for an unofficial visit with his father.

“The visit was great,” Clark said. “The basketball game was very exciting and I got to hang out with Ryan Timmons, and Raph Andrades was player host this weekend.”

During the visit Clark was able to visit with Florida coach Will Muschamp, who delivered a strong message on how much the Gators liked him.

“Me and coach (Will) Muschamp had a very good meeting,” Clark said. “He’s a really good person and a good coach. He told me he needed me at Florida very bad and I would have a chance to play at Florida if I choose them.”

Clark was focused on seeing the academic side of things at the University of Florida.

“I get to all of the academic side this weekend,” Clark said. “The academics are great at Florida and it really opened my eyes when I saw something’s.”

Now that Clark has taken all of his visits, he is ready to make a decision. However, he isn’t ready to tell the world just yet.

“I’m going to silently commit to a school soon,” Clark said. “But I’ll announce my decision on national signing day at 9 in the morning at my school.”

Wednesday is the start on the national signing period and also is known as national signing day.
