Big weekend for Gators recruiting

The last few weekends have been slow for Florida with only a handful of visiting recruits have been on campus.

That will all change this weekend with close to 75 known prospects will be in Gainesville for Saturday’s spring game.

Out of those prospects, the classes of 2013, 2014, 2015 as well as several of Florida’s 2012 signees will be in attendance. A total of 10 of the Gators 11 verbal commitments are expected to make the game.

A number of those prospects will be on campus looking for a scholarship offer from the Gators, but many of Florida’s top targets who already have an offer in hand are planning be at the game as well.

The following prospects are expected to be on campus Friday:

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
