VIDEO: Eli Carter’s big night vs mississippi state

Gator basketball improved to 9-6 overall and 2-0 in the SEC on Saturday night with a 72-47 whopping of Mississippi State.

Florida got impressive play from Eli Carter, the Rutgers transfer who is finally showing fans what he can do when fully healthy.

Some of “what he can do” consisted of a team leading 20 point performance on 6-8 shooting (4-6 from three) and 4-4 from the free throw line.

Head coach Billy Donovan says Carter has always been up and down on the shot chart but when he’s up, the Gators benefit.

With the rest of the season racing quickly at this young Billy Donovan squad, Carter’s teammates say his success will be crucial.
