Gators In The NBA: Beal’s Buzzer-Beater Lifts Wizards

By: Ryan Randall

Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal may have only scored 9 points against the Orlando Magic in Wednesday’s 91-89 win over the Orlando Magic, but the last two were key in sealing a victory for the away team.

With the score tied 89-89 with .08 seconds left, Washington inbounded the ball from the sideline. The Wizards’ rotation allowed for Beal to get space from Victor Oladipo and cut to the basket, where he would tip the pass in for the game-winning score.

In four games this week, Beal has averaged 11.8 points per game and three assists per game. Washington has also gone 3-1 over that span.
