Florida Gators No. 5 in hoops rankings

On Monday, the Florida Gators basketball team moved up in the top-25 rankings of both the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and The Associated Press poll.

Florida moved up two spots in the coaches’ poll to No. 5 this week behind top-ranked Indiana, Duke, Michigan and Syracuse.

In the AP poll, the Gators moved up just one spot to No. 6 behind Indiana, Duke, Michigan, Ohio State and Syracuse.

Florida is coming off of a 82-49 home win against Marquette last Thursday that improved the Gators to 6-0.

This upcoming week, Florida travels to Tallahassee to take on Florida State (4-3), which lost 61-56 against Mercer on Sunday for its second straight defeat.
