Photo Gallery: Baseball vs. LSU

HOOVER, ALA. — Eighth-seeded LSU (37-20) banged out 19 hits to defeat top-seeded Florida (40-14), 10-6, in the opening round of the SEC Tournament on Wednesday at Regions Park.

Junior Anthony Ranaudo (4-2) worked a season-high 7.2 innings, giving up eight hits and six runs (five earned), and registered five strikeouts. The right-hander was supported by a Tiger offense that had eight of its nine starters contribute at least two hits. For the Gators, senior Matt den Dekker was 2-for-5 with three RBI, coming on a two-run double and a solo shot, and freshman Brian Johnson was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles.
