Yousef Mugharbil commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up their 26th commitment of the Class of 2021 on Friday when they picked up an out of state prospect.

Offensive lineman Yousef Mugharbil (6-4, 304, Murphy, NC. High) committed to Florida over North Carolina and others.

“I would like to thank my family, my coaching staff and my team for everything they have done throughout my recruitment,” Mugharbil said of his commitment to Florida. “I wouldn’t be where I am today without them, with that being said I’m very excited to say that I am committed to the University of Florida.”

Mugharbil has never visited Florida for a game but he did take a visit to Gainesville with his family to he could see the campus in person for himself as before the only visit he had taken with the Gators was a virtual visit.

The North Carolina prospect was favoring North Carolina and others early on but tight ends coach Tim Brewster continued to pursue Mugharbil and that helped the Gators come out on top for the lineman.

The offensive lineman is the fifth lineman in the Class of 2021 joining Deyavie Hammond, Javonte Gardner, Adrein Strickland and Jake Slaughter as members of the Gators class.
