Woodrow enjoys a “great” visit with the Florida Gators

Last weekend, the Florida Gators hosted several prospects on campus for spring practice, including several instate targets.

Offensive lineman Rhys Woodrow (6-3, 310, Orlando, FL. Boone) was on campus and got to meet everyone including head coach Billy Napier.

“The visit was great,” Woodrow said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I got to tour the athletic facilities and the academic facilities. I also got to meet with Coach Napier.”

Woodrow has been to campus a lot but on Saturday he had the chance to spend more time around the staff and he liked the academic side of things.

“All the coaches were very experienced, and they made me feel at home,” he said of his impressions of the coaching staff and the visit. “I think seeing all of the academic opportunities really stood out on the visit.”

Offensive line coaches John Decoster and Rob Sale explained to Woodrow where they like him at if he was to choose Florida.

“They told me how interested they’re in having me play center and they were very welcoming,” Woodrow said on the message from the coaches. “They want me to play center and they said they love the aggression that I play with.”

Napier also spent time with Woodrow as the two got to know each other better and they also talked ball.

“Coach Napier also sees me as a center when I get to college,” he said on Napier’s message to him. “We also talked about my high school team, and we got to spend time getting to know each other on a personal level.”

Woodrow has high interest in the Gators and he has always dreamed of getting an offer from Florida and he says the Gators and two other instate schools are recruiting him hard.

“Since I was a freshman, I always saw getting the offer to play at Florida as a goal and it feels great to have that now,” Woodrow said on his interest in Florida and other schools recruiting him. “FSU and Miami are showing lots of interest as well.”
