Where Florida’s outgoing transfers have committed

The Florida Gators have seen 32 players depart via the transfer portal including 30 scholarship athletes. Of those departures, 29 have committed or signed with new programs, while three remain uncommitted.

DL Tarvorise Brown – UNC 

Brown spent two seasons at Florida after joining the program as a walk-on in the fall of 2024. He appeared in six games and recorded five tackles. Listed at 6’6, 296 pounds, the defensive tackle has two years of eligibility remaining and will continue his career at North Carolina under head coach Bill Belichick.

QB DJ Lagway – Baylor

Quarterback DJ Lagway has transferred to Baylor, his father’s alma mater. He completed 63.2% of his passes for 2,264 yards and 16 touchdowns, while his 14 interceptions led all Power Four quarterbacks. The 6-foot-3, 247-pound signal-caller has two years of eligibility remaining.

RB KD Daniels – Wake Forest 

KD Daniels transferred to Wake Forest after appearing in 14 games for Florida across two seasons. The 5’11.25, 203 pound running back totaled 197 yards and two touchdowns on 5.05 yards per carry in his Gators’ career. Daniels has three years of eligibility remaining.

WR Mike Peterson Jr. – FAMU

Peterson Jr. joined the Gators as a walk-on in the fall after spending the spring at Arkansas State. The 6’0.5, 164-pound receiver did not appear in any games for Florida. Peterson Jr. is the son of former Gators linebacker and edge coach Mike Peterson. Joining FAMU, Peterson Jr. will have four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting in 2025.

S Jordan Castell – Kentucky 

After starting 34 consecutive games for Florida, safety Jordan Castell transferred to Kentucky with one season of eligibility left. Castell recorded 169 tackles, three interceptions, and 3.5 tackles for loss, and 15 pass break ups in his Gators’ career.

WR Aidan Mizell – UCLA 

Aidan Mizell transferred to UCLA after spending three seasons at Florida, his parents’ alma mater. He appeared in 22 games with seven starts for the Gators, totaling 38 receptions for 404 yards and three touchdowns. The 6’1, 185-pound wide receiver battled injuries during his time in Gainesville, limiting his availability. Mizell arrives at UCLA with two years of eligibility remaining and will play under new head coach Bob Chesney.

CB Teddy Foster – USF 

Teddy Foster transferred to USF after two years at Florida. The 6’0, 188-pound cornerback appeared in 14 games with the Gators, primarily in a special teams role. Foster will have three years of eligibility left under new head coach Brian Hartline.

OL Marcus Mascoll – Georgia State 

Marcus Mascoll did not make an appearance across two seasons with Florida. The 6’4, 308-pound interior lineman will have three seasons to play at Georgia State.

WR Tank Hawkins – Washington State 

The speedy 5’9, 178-pound wide receiver transferred to Washington State after two seasons with Florida. Hawkins recorded 12 receptions for 116 yards and one touchdown across 12 games in his Gators’ career. Hawkins will have three years of eligibility remaining.

CB Jamroc Grimsley – Mississippi State 

Grimsley appeared in four games across two seasons with Florida, recording one tackle and one pass deflection. The 6’2, 198-pound cornerback has three years of eligibility remaining at Mississippi State.

LB Grayson Howard – USF 

After playing a prominent role in 2024, Howard was limited to just 36 snaps for Florida in 2025. The junior linebacker battled multiple offseason injuries and never fully returned to form. Over two seasons with the Gators, Howard totaled 41 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one forced fumble. After redshirting last season, Howard has two years to play at USF.

TE Hayden Hansen – Oklahoma 

A three-year starter at Florida, Hansen recorded 57 receptions for 611 yards and five touchdowns in his Gators’ career. The 6’8, 269-pound tight end ranked third on Florida’s offense in snaps last season with 746. Hansen has one year of eligibility remaining at Oklahoma and will make a return to The Swamp on Nov. 7, when the Sooners travel to Gainesville to take on the Gators.

DL Michai Boireau – Ole Miss 

Arguably Florida’s most impactful loss of the offseason, defensive tackle Micahi Boireau transferred to Ole Miss with two years of eligibility remaining. The 6’4.5, 349-pound interior lineman recorded 35 tackles, two sacks, one interception, and one pass deflection across 21 games at UF. He is best remembered for his game-sealing interception against Mississippi State in 2025. Boireau has two years of eligibility remaining and makes a return trip to The Swamp on September 26th in 2026 when Ole Miss travels to Gainesville.

WR Naeshaun Montgomery – Missouri 

Freshman wide receiver Naeshaun Montgomery transferred to Missouri after one season in Gainesville. Montgomery recorded three receptions for 26 yards as a rookie. The 6’1, 189-pound receiver has four years to play after redshirting in 2025.

WR Eugene Wilson III – LSU

Despite immense talent, Eugene Wilson III appeared in just 22 games over three seasons at Florida due to a series of injuries. Wilson III recorded 107 receptions for 1,043 yards and 10 touchdowns in his UF career. A majority of Wilson III’s production came in his true freshman season in 2023, where the 5’10, 194-pound receiver hauled in 61 passes for 538 yards and six touchdowns. Wilson III has transferred to LSU where he will have two years of eligibility.

DB Sharif Denson – Ole Miss 

Joining Boireau at Ole Miss, Denson left the Florida program after three seasons. Across 36 games played including 17 starts, Denson recorded 97 tackles, two sacks, one interception, four pass deflections, and one forced fumble at UF. The 5’11, 195-pound defensive back played mostly nickel at Florida and has one year of eligibility remaining.

DB Aaron Gates – Kentucky 

Defensive back Aaron Gates has transferred to Kentucky after three years at Florida. Gates recorded 34 tackles, four tackles for loss, one interception, four pass deflections, and three fumble recoveries across 18 games played. Multiple serious knee injuries dating back to high school have limited Gates’ career to this point. Gates could be granted a medical redshirt for the 2025 season, but as of now, the 6’0, 198-pound nickelback has two years of eligibility left.

TE Cameron Kossmann – Boston College 

Tight end Cameron Kossmann transferred to Boston College after playing in one game and logging one snap in Florida’s season opener vs. LIU. The 6’5, 245-pound tight end has four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting as a freshman in 2025.

K Evan Noel – Houston 

Florida’s freshman kicker did not appear in any games in 2025 and transferred to Houston. The Gators added Tulane kicker Patrick Durkin this offseason.

RB Treyaun Webb – App State 

Florida running back Treyaun Webb transferred to App State after graduating from UF in three years. Having dealt with injuries later in his Gators’ career, Webb played in 15 games from 2023-24, recording 256 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 5.4 yards per carry. Webb may receive a medical redshirt for his 2025 season, which would give him three years of eligibility.

WR Jackson Wade – Boston College 

Walk on receiver Jackson Wade earned a scholarship at Boston College after three years with the Florida program. Wade appeared in 16 games over the past two seasons, contributing primarily on special teams. The 5’11 185-pound wide receiver has recorded two career receptions for 20 yards and has two years of eligibility remaining.

LS Mack Mulhern – LSU

Long snapper Mack Mulhern transferred to LSU after one season. Mulhern did not see game action at Florida. Notably, Florida’s former special team coordinator Joe Houston is now at LSU in a similar capacity.

P Hayden Craig – LSU

Punter Hayden Craig joined Mulhern at LSU after redshirting in 2025.

OL Devon Manuel – App State

Manuel joins Treyaun Webb at App State after two seasons at Florida. Manuel spent the three seasons prior at Arkansas. Manuel appeared in just four games with the Gators.

WR Muizz Tounkara – Houston

Rising sophomore Muizz Tounkara committed to Houston after playing in eight games at Florida. Tounkara recorded two catches for 12 yards while playing a special teams role.

RB Ja’Kobi Jackson – Ohio State

Ja’Kobi Jackson has committed to Ohio State after spending three seasons with the Florida program. He broke out in 2024, rushing for 509 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 5.4 yards per carry.

Jackson’s 2025 season was limited to four games due to injury. After being granted an additional year of eligibility, he is set to enter his seventh season of college football in 2026.
