Two mid-week official visitors for the Florida Gators

Midweek official visits used to be a thing that didn’t happen much but with visits taking place in the summertime now, mid-week officials have become more common.

The Florida Gators will host two prospects on mid-week official visits that start on Tuesday for two of their targets in the 2023 class.

Billy Napier and his staff will have a lot of time to spend with the two prospects and the time is needed as the Gators have some ground to make up with these guys.

GatorCountry brings you a preview on the mid-week official visitors.

Top offensive lineman to visit

Offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa is one of the top offensive linemen in the country and is currently playing at IMG Academy. Mauigoa is originally from California which makes USC a major contender in his recruitment. Tennessee is also a heavy favorite in the sweepstakes for Mauigoa’s signature, but the Gators have remained in the mix for the lineman and his teammate and current Florida commit Knijeah Harris has been working on Mauigoa. Mauigoa has visits scheduled for Miami, USC, and Tennessee after Florida and he wants to announce a decision before the start of his senior year.

Elite safety set to visit

Safety Joenel Aguero plans to announce his decision on July 23rd and the Gators currently trail Georgia, but defensive coordinator Patrick Toney has a great relationship with Aguero. Miami and Ohio State are also in the mix for the Massachusetts safety but it likely comes down to the two SEC rivals.
