Turner has high interest in the Florida Gators

On Saturday night, the Florida Gators coaching staff had a lot of underclassmen on campus to watch the Gators blow out Florida State in the Swamp.

2021 defensive end Dallas Turner (6-3, 222, Fort Lauderdale, FL. American Heritage) was one of those guys on campus and he enjoyed the win for the Gators.

“It was an expected win for them,” Turner said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I just watched the game, I’ve toured the campus before on previous visits but it was an excellent visit.”

Turner has been in the Swamp before but not for a night game and he admitted the atmosphere was different on Saturday night.

“It was very electric,” he said on the atmosphere in the Swamp on Saturday. “I thought the fans came to bring the noise and the noise was brought by them. The game was good to, the defense came to play, especially the defensive line.”

After the game was over, Turner had the chance to talk to several coaches about where they see him playing at if he chooses Florida.

“I talked to Coach [Todd] Grantham and Coach [Billy] Gonzales,” Turner said of the coaches he talked too. “They said they could see me playing the Buck position for them and I think I will thrive at the position. I watched that position a lot.”

The staff has kept in touch with Turner a lot since they offered him and that has helped the defensive end’s interest grow even more in Florida.

“They always say they want me to be a Gator,” he said on the message from the staff. “I have very high interest for Florida and I like how comfortable I am with the school and also how much love they show towards me.”

The Gators aren’t the only school hard after Turner as several other big time programs are after the American Heritage prospect.

“Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Miami, FSU and Oregon are all recruiting me hard,” Turner said. “I don’t have any leaders yet.”
