The Florida Gators picked up their 11th commitment of the 2023 class and second commit on Thursday.
Running back Treyaun Webb (6-1, 205, Jacksonville, FL. Trinity Christian) committed to Florida over Penn State and South Carolina on Thursday.
“Let’s Do it,” Webb posted on Instagram.
Webb is a guy that Billy Napier and the staff have been focused on since they took over and the running back likes the new staff in Gainesville.
“They’re a great staff,” he said of his impressions of the staff. “They have a great championship mindset, great people and they’re passionate about doing what’s best for their players and make it feel like a family. They practice what they preach and they’re high tempo guys.”
Napier and running backs coach Jabbar Juluke explained to Webb during his first visit to Gainesville that the Gators want to keep the top players from the state instate for college.
“He said that they need me and that I’m a priority for them,” Webb said on the message from Juluke to him during the visit. “He said they’re going to put a fence around the state of Florida so that none of the top talent leave the state. They feel like with all of the Florida guys on the roster that they can go win a Natty.”
Webb is a Gator legacy as his uncle is former Gators defensive back Dee Webb and they were on campus together when the running back committed.
