Trevonte Rucker commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators continued its hot streak over the last few days as the Gators picked up another 2021 commitment on Monday night.

2021 receiver Trevonte Rucker (6-0, 155, Ocala, FL. Vanguard) committed to Florida on Monday night over several SEC offers.

Rucker who has visited Florida several times this fall with his teammates and likes what Dan Mullen does on offense.

“I like how Coach Mullen gets the ball to the receivers,” Rucker said earlier this fall. “I see he gives them a chance to make a play and that’s big to me.”

The 2021 receiver has been recruited by receiver coach Billy Gonzales and he likes how the assistant coach handles the receiver position.

“I like his coaching style,” he said of Gonzales. “He’s good with rotation and I see a lot of rotation going on with him during the games.”

Rucker is the third commit in the 2021 class for the Gators joining Stephenson high teammates in athlete Kamar Wilcoxson and offensive lineman George Jackson.

The Gators will hope that the success with Rucker will help them land his teammate in 2020 receiver Leonard Manuel who is among the best prospects in the country next year.
