The Florida Gators are Trigg’s dream school

Most of the top prospects in the Swamp on Saturday for the Florida Gators game against Tennessee were underclassmen prospects but they were top underclassmen prospects.

2021 tight end Michael Trigg (6-4, 200, Lake Wales, FL. Seffner Christian Academy) was one of those in attendance on Saturday and he enjoyed his time on campus.

“The visit was good,” Trigg said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I talked to a couple of coaches, ate the food and played some video games. I just had a good time over all.”

Trigg watched the Gators offense closely to see how they used the tight end position during the game.

“They use the tight end a lot, I really like that,” he said of the tight end play on Saturday. “The offense looked good and Florida is definitely a place I will consider.”

During the game one of the Gators recruiting assistants made sure to point out to Trigg just how involved the tight ends were in the Gators offense.

“I talked to Coach Billy [Homer] and another coach,” Trigg said of the coaches he talked too. “He came to me right after they scored the first touchdown and said “that could be you at tight end.”

Trigg has also talked to tight ends coach Larry Scott about why the Gators like the 2021 prospect.

“I’ve talked to Coach [Larry] Scott, he’s my position coach,” he said on the other coaches has had talked too. “He said I’m vey versatile and they just want to see me block more. We’re just building a relationship right now.”

Florida hasn’t offered Trigg yet but the tight end says the Gators would be high on his list if they do offer him.

“It would mean a lot, it’s always been my dream school,” Trigg said on what an offer from Florida would mean to him. “I like everything about them, I just love the place.”

The Gators have several other teams already recruiting Trigg hard and he plans to visit those schools soon.

“Georgia, Notre Dame, Iowa, Alabama, NC State, South Carolina, Wake Forest and North Carolina,” he said on other schools recruiting him hard. “I’m trying to visit most of those schools.”
