South Carolina commit Walker is thinking about the Gators

The Florida Gators had several targets on campus on Saturday for the Gators blowout victory over Idaho.

One of the key targets on campus Saturday was 2020 South Carolina offensive line commit Issiah Walker Jr. (6-4, 244, Miami, FL. Norland) who was on campus for the first time this fall.

“Everything was good,” Walker said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I’m just loving Florida right now, the vibe. It’s a good atmosphere.”

Saturday was the first time for Walker to see the Gators this fall and he likes several things about Florida including the coaching staff.

“I like the coaching staff and when I come to Florida they make it feel like I’m at home,” Walker said on what he likes about Florida. “It’s a good vibe and the offense line was blocking good and they coach their guys good.”

The Gators have been recruiting Walker hard and he says he hears from Florida’s staff a lot.

“It’s a good relationship with the staff,” he said on his relationship with Florida. “They text me everyday asking me how I’m doing and stuff like that.”

Walker got the chance to talk with the Gators coaching staff on Saturday and they had a quick message for him.

“They’re going to have a good class,” Walker said on the message from Florida.

After Saturday’s visit to Gainesville, Walker admits that he has some things to think about in regards to his commitment to South Carolina.

“As of right now it’s the same with South Carolina,” he said on his commitment to South Carolina. “I’m thinking about Florida, I’m going to go home and talk to my parents.”

Now that the season is ending, Walker is already thinking about other visits he may take this offseason.

“I don’t know yet,” he said on what’s next for him. “I’m going to try and get back up to Florida. Get back up here.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Florida is good shape for Walker after Saturday’s visit to Gainesville. The Gators have made Walker a priority for the 2020 class.
