On Wednesday the Florida Gators sent out three new offers to underclassmen as the coaching staff continues to expand their board.
2022 linebacker Jaylen Sneed (6-2, 202, Hilton Head Island, SC. High) picked up one of those offers from Florida and the Gators had a message for him.
“Coach Christian Robinson offered me,” Sneed said on which coach from Florida offered him. “He said that I’m very talented and I have what it takes to be a Florida Gator because I have the grades and the talent.”
Sneed has picked up several offers as of late but he admits receiving an offer from the Gators was a big one.
“The offer meant a lot to me, it’s my first SEC offer,” he said on what the offer means to him. “I was shocked that I got the offer.”
Linebackers coach Christian Robinson broke down to Sneed just how the Gators would use him on defense if he was to choose Florida.
“He said I was a very versatile,” Sneed said on where Robinson sees him playing. “Depending on how I grow he could see me play either inside or outside linebacker. They have a position called the money backer that I play just like.”
Sneed hasn’t visited Gainesville yet but he says he likes a few things about the Gators program and the Sunshine State.
“I really like the location and the weather at Florida,” he said on what he likes about Florida. “I like how close it’s to home and I think I would fit really well into the position and their defense.”
After picking up the offer on Wednesday, Sneed was quick to say the Gators are at the top of his leaderboard in his recruitment.
“Florida is my leader,” Sneed said on if he has a leader. “They have great football and academics. Definitely excited.”
