The Florida Gators pulled off the 29-21 upset of the Texas Longhorns on Saturday afternoon in the Swamp in front of a sold-out crowd.
Billy Napier and the coaching staff also had several top targets and commits in the stands to watch the Gators’ big win.
Those recruits were treated to a great game and atmosphere as the Swamp was loud and helped the Gators.
GatorCountry brings you the reactions of the Gators’ targets and commits to the Gators’ big win over the Longhorns on Saturday.
Defensive back commit Kaiden Hall- Big time win!!! I wouldn’t call this an upset; this is what UF is expected to do.”
UNLV defensive line commit Isaiah Broughton- I’m in here dancing with the players. It was amazing.”
Running back commit Carsyn Baker- “Spot the ball!!!”
2027 linebacker Braden Gordon- It was crazy, but I thought Florida had a chance before the game if they played the way everybody thought they would at the beginning of the season, and they did, but I was still like shocked.”
2028 offensive lineman Maxx Jones- “All I can say is when you have an OL that can keep the quarterback in the pocket like that, it speaks for itself.”
Defensive back commit CJ Bronaugh- “I had confidence in what the boys were going to do because they had a bye week to focus and everything. The whole atmosphere, constantly making plays on the ball.”
Receiver commit Justin Williams- “It made me feel better about coming in and making an impact, being a part of the team. It’s just great to see us execute against a really good opponent.”
Defensive back commit CJ Hester- “It was amazing. Glad to see us come out with the victory.”
2028 defensive lineman Kingston Brown- “Love it!!! The Gators’ defensive line was eating tonight. You could tell they came to prove something. As a defensive guy, I love seeing that kind of energy.”
2027 quarterback Elijah Haven-“It was great, great atmosphere, DJ played well, so that was good to see.”
