The Florida Gators sent out of all their coaching staff on Sunday to start the contact period and in-home visits with prospects as they look to finish the class strong.
Linebacker commit Jesiah Pierre (6-2, 220, Mount Dora, FL. Mount Dora Christian Academy) received a visit from Florida on Sunday night.
“Coach [Ron] English came to visit,” Pierre said of which coach from Florida visited him on Sunday. “It was amazing, I felt like we bonded even more. I’m excited to get to Florida.”
English has been the main recruiter for Pierre’s area this year and on Sunday he talked with the commit about a lot of different things.
“We talked about a lot of things,” he said of his talks with English. “We talked about life, school and football. All those topics around.”
Pierre has heard about where he would play from Florida a lot so on Sunday it wasn’t talked about a lot.
“We didn’t really too much to be honest,” Pierre said on if they talked about where he would play and such. “They will use me as a linebacker and just adjust to whatever I’m best at.”
The linebacker commit visited Florida once this fall but he watched the season closely and was impressed with year one under Dan Mullen.
“I thought they had a dope season,” he said of Florida’s season. “For just a one year thing, Coach Mullen is on the right track.”
Pierre has been solid to Florida since he committed and now he’s just focused on signing and taking his official visit.
“I’m signing and enrolling early,” Pierre said. “I’m taking my official visit on December 7th, I’m just looking to have a great time.”
