Parker has the Florida Gators high in his recruitment.

Several of the top 2023 prospects in the country have visited Gainesville this month to meet the Florida Gators coaching staff in person.

2023 defensive end Tomarrion Parker (6-5, 235, Phenix City, AL. Central) was one of those to visit Gainesville and he got to see everything on campus.

“My Florida visit was great,” Parker said. “We toured around the campus looked at the Swamp, even got to see an alligator. Coach [Kelvin] Bolden showed me the classes and buildings I’d be in for the major I want. We also got to meet Coach [David] Turner and Coach [Dan] Mullen. I got to see how Coach Turner coaches and I really enjoyed that.”

Parker made it a priority to get down to Florida as quickly as possible once he was invited to visit.

“I’ve always loved Florida,” he said on why he wanted to visit so soon after the dead period. “When my coaches told me, they wanted me to visit, I couldn’t say no.”

Defensive line coach David Turner explained to Parker during the visit just where he would play at on defense if he comes to Florida.

“I would play as their standup defensive end like how I play in high school,” Parker said on where Turner wants him to play. “They didn’t get into much but eventually I’ll get back up there in the mix of my schedule.”

Head coach Dan Mullen also had a message for Parker and the defensive end walked away impressed by Mullen and the coaching staff.

“He told me he loved my ability to get to the quarterback and he also loved how I can run,” he said on the message from Mullen. “He was real laid back and knows how to have fun. I enjoyed talking to them and I can’t wait to get back.”

After visiting Gainesville, Parker says the Gators are one of his top teams with an ACC school joining Florida.

“They’re definitely one of my top schools and theey’re real high on the list,” Parker said on his interest in Florida. “UNC and Florida are my top schools as of right now. I won’t announce my full list until after I visit the schools I have in mind.”
