Oregon DB transfer Trikweze Bridges commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators continued their hot streak in the transfer portal as they landed their third commitment in two days on Monday.

Oregon defensive back transfer Trikweze Bridges committed to Florida over Washington after he visited both programs over the last two weekends.

“Committed to the University of Florida.” Bridges wrote on X (Twitter).

Bridges was on campus in Gainesville two weekends ago and enjoyed his time on campus and likes the Gators’ defensive plan.

“I see what they’re trying to do with their defense and how they’re trying to change it around,” Bridges said. “They have some pieces here, but they are young. I know it would be a good thing having someone in the room with them to educate them and lead them.”

The Oregon transfer has played all over the defensive backfield in his career, but he would like to focus on just one position.

“I’m very versatile, but I want to get back to safety, he said. “I want to see how safety is again and that’s where my roots are. I played safety in high school but didn’t have that many snaps at safety.”

Bridges has one year left after playing mainly cornerback at Oregon where he accounted for three interceptions in his career with the Ducks.
