O’Hara joins program as offensive analyst

Ryan O’Hara has joined the UF program as an offensive analyst, head coach Billy Napier announced on Monday. O’Hara will help Napier coach the quarterbacks, which will allow him to hire two offensive line coaches.

O’Hara worked for Napier at Louisiana from 2018-21 in a similar capacity. During that time, he helped develop Levi Lewis, who became the first player to pass for 3,000 yards in a season in program history and set the school record with 26 touchdown passes in 2019.

Lewis entered the 2021 campaign ranked second in school history in career touchdown passes (54), third in passing yards (6,286) and fourth in completions (485).

Lewis was named the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship Game MVP after throwing for 210 yards and rushing for 43.

Before that, O’Hara was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Alabama A&M from 2016-17. He also coached quarterbacks at Mt. San Antonio State College and Santa Monica College for a year each.

As a player, he started at quarterback for two years at the University of Central Oklahoma. He was named all-conference in 2006 and led his team to the Lone Star Conference North division title.

O’Hara also started at Arizona in 2003 and lettered in basketball.
