Offensive lineman Marcus Mascoll commits to Florida over LSU

The Florida Gators picked up their sixth commitment in the last three days and second of the day on Monday and also the second commitment of the day from the state of Georgia.

Offensive lineman Marcus Mascoll (6-4, 292, Snellville, GA. South Gwinnett) committed to Florida over LSU and others on Monday.

Mascoll was on campus in Gainesville two weekends ago for his third trip to town and he continues to be impressed by the staff.

The staff they have down there is great and they’re headed in the right direction, Mascoll said of Florida. “They have two offensive line coaches, one of the few programs that have that.”

Picking up Mascoll’s commitment is a big one as the Gators have been in a battle with LSU for months now, but the Gators’ official visit impressed the Georgia native.

Mascoll is third offensive linemen to commit to Florida in the last week joining offensive linemen Mike Williams and Noel Portnjagin in the class. Mascoll is also the 15th commitment in the Class of 2024.
