Nolton has the Florida Gators high in his recruitment

The Florida Gators have built solid relationships with several 2022 prospects around the country during the dead period and that has put them in a good spot with many of those guys.

2022 defensive end Francois Nolton (6-4, 225, Miami, FL. Edison) is one of those guys that Florida talks to often and he talks to two Gators coaches.

“They’re recruiting me very hard,” Nolton said on how hard Florida is recruiting him. “We talk all the time, I talk to Coach [John Herron] Hova and Coach [David] Turner.”

Defensive line coach David Turner has talked to Nolton a lot and explained what the Gators like about his game as they build a relationship.

“I would be a great piece to the defensive line at Florida,” he said on the message from Turner. “They love me up there and he talks to me about everything from football to my dad.”

Turner has also explained to Nolton just how he would fit into Florida’s defense and why the Gators like his game.

“They want me to play the BUCK position,” Nolton said on where Turner wants him to play. “That’s a 3-4 outside linebacker because I’m good coming off the edge for them.”

Nolton hasn’t been on campus since February but he says his relationship is good with the coaches.

“I have a great relationship with them,” he said on his relationship with the coaches. “They make me feel like family and are always telling me about the team and how they’re going to be good this year.”

The defensive end says he hasn’t narrowed down his list yet but Nolton says the Gators are high on his board.

“I like Florida a lot, I don’t have a top but Florida is up there to the top,” Nolton said of Florida. “I like the team and coaches and I want to play in the Swamp. The defense has fun and plays fast.”

The Gators have some tough competition as several other top programs around the country want Nolton.

“Florida, FSU, Penn State, Ole Miss, Alabama, UCF and Arizona State are,” he said on schools recruiting him hard. “I want to visit all of them when I can.”
