The Florida Gators picked up their 8th commitment for the Class of 2020 on Friday when an instate prospect picked the Gators.
2020 defensive end/outside linebacker Morven Joseph (6-3, 210, Lakeland, FL. Lake Gibson) committed to Florida over Florida State and Texas A&M among others.
“ I will be verbally committing to the University if Florida,” Joseph tweeted
When the Gators offered Joseph in January, the defensive end was excited to receive a dream offer from Florida.
“It means a lot,” Joseph said of what the Florida offer meant to him. “It was a goal and a dream to get a scholarship offer from Florida.”
Defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is the coach that has been talking with Joseph the most about how he will fit into Florida’s defense.
“Todd Grantham.” Joseph said on the coach he talks to the most. “He just told me loves the way I play and he likes my size and length. We didn’t get to talk much.”
The defensive lineman was last on Florida’s campus for junior day but he says he plans to return for a spring practice this spring.
Joseph is the fourth defensive lineman to commit to the Class of 2020 for the Gators joining Johnnie Brown, Gervon Dexter and Josh Griffis in the class.
Stay tuned to GatorCountry as we will have much more on Joseph’s commitment to the Florida Gators.
